Company was founded by incorporating of two companies: CS Cooper Company and the Hunter Manufacturing Company. The invention of the first successful commercial liquid-filled radiator by C.S. Cooper was the beginning of the cycle of engineering innovations associated with heating and chilling of air. Just after General Electric Hunter Manufacturing Company became one of the first manufacturers of split systems from direct evaporation and the remote air-cooled co
ndenser in 1930s, being a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Co
nditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), which was founded in the United States in 1892. In 1950 the company had developed and successfully implemented water and glycol chillers for air co
nditioning of commercial and industrial use. In the 1960s company implemented an innovative technology rotary-screw compressors, which were very reliable and efficient.
In 2003 Cooper & Hunter Internatio
nal Corporation was reorganized - this aimed to co
nsolidate it`s leadership position in the production of microclimate systems. It was made a decision to postpone the production over the U.S. territory, for extending the range of equipment which was offered under the brand name C&H and for entering new markets. By implementing a new marketing strategy, the company opened offices in North, South America, Australia, Europe and Asia.
